The
town with its 4000 inhabitants has developed on an island which was connected to the land in the 18C. The basilica of St. Pelages from 13 C and the three-naves churh of St.Agata from 10C are the are significant monuments of the town. Novigrad nowadays is an urbanised green peninsula and tourist resort on the western coast of Istria. |
